‘The People Talk' offers a unique shared experience of participation and engagement that marks the 20th anniversary of BIPOD, and reflects our everyday priorities in a performative, intimate, and simple way. Local and international guests, from the cultural and social sectors, will share with us and the BIPOD audience, a glimpse of a personal and genuine experience. An intimate 7 minutes statement about ‘what remains from the past and motivates us to continue’. How do we carry this past, how does it affect our presence, and how it leads us into our futures. Guests from various backgrounds and professions in Beirut and beyond - including citizens, artists, actors, activists, cultural professionals, and others - will be given their own seven minutes to address one of three stimulating questions in a format of their preference.
