The Body Symphonic

Friday — 19 april @ 9:30 pm - Abroyan Factory /Union Marks

performance

Duration 45’

co-prodcution of Maqamat & Beit el Raqs

Performance made possible with the support of the British Council in Lebanon

Charlie Prince exhausts his physicality and reaches out to the extreme of possibilities and of being onstage. Accompanied by live rhythmic and electronic music created and performed by Joss Turnbull. The Body Symphonic is a solo dance performance that delves into the concept of the body as an archaeological space. Through involving the body in rituals of exploration and excavation, it unveils new and unbounded mythologies. This journey allows for limitless self-representation and a sense of rootedness. The performance unfolds through movement, returning and elevating the body to uncharted territories and unexplored realms, as if embodying mythical creatures like centaurs and hybrids.
