These diverse encounters offer a fusion of dance forms, artists, and viewers, providing a platform to observe, engage, and participate.

For our upcoming Dabke experience evening, we are thrilled to feature Mounir Malaeb, the creative force behind Rajana Veda dance company and a collaborator with Caracalla for many years. Mounir brings a distinctive perspective to dabke, infusing his performances with vibrant energy and captivating dynamism. Join us for a participatory and unforgettable dance evening led by Mounir, where you can immerse yourself in the joy of movement and connection.

Mounir Malaeb

After a 20-year absence from the stage as a dancer and performer, choreographer Mounir Malaeb returns to the stage to revive the spirit of Lebanese and Arab folklore from a contemporary global perspective.

Mounir started his journey with the art of movement in 1980 and was a member of Caracalla Dance Theatre from 1992 to 2000. His art contributed to the local Festivals of Baalbek, Beit El Dine, Tyre, Tripoli and many others. He presented his work in several American, European and Asian Festivals: U.S.A. Texas, Mexico, Brazil, Greece, Malaysia, and participated in several Arab cities whereby he was rewarded several honor awards: Festivals of Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Al Ein, Babylon, Aleppo, Busra, Damascus, Doha.

He has also been choreographing and taking part in numerous projects with singers and film makers such as Demis Roussos and Philippe Aractingi to name a few.

In 1996, Mounir formed his dance group: Rajana Veda Lebanese Dance Group and embarked on his quest to realize his vision of the Lebanese Folkloric spirit. He has been teaching and giving workshops for many years and choreographed and directed several plays including all the plays by Rajana Veda Lebanese Dance Group: Tajaeed, Rayat, Adivana, as well as "Ornina" at the Unesco Palace and the Ivoire Theater, "Nour Al Sharq" and "Ahad Al Lubnaneyeen
